About the Author

Tom “T Guns” Larned served in the FBI for twenty-four years in a variety of assignments, including supervising the James “Whitey” Bulger Task Force in Boston and dismantling violent gangs in Miami. On 9/11/2001, he was a Supervisory Special Agent assigned to investigate the attacks on the World Trade Center launched from Logan Airport. Later, he served as the FBI’s Senior Executive in Iraq, where he was awarded the FBI Combat Theatre of Operations medal. He was appointed Legal Attaché to Canada prior to retiring in 2014 and forming The Justice Group, where he works with police departments to improve the outcomes of encounters between police officers and the communities they serve. He was awarded the Key to the City in appreciation for his work with the Fort Myers Police Department in 2020.
